Agnes was left in NASPR's care when a friend of NASPR's had to relocate with family and felt it would not be best for Agnes.

She got Agnes from a shelter back in April of 2016. She had no hair and was skin and bones. She was afraid of her own shadow and was socially awkward with dogs and people. She would be afraid to go to her bowl of food to eat if a person was standing near the bowl. At that time, we could not tell what color she was going to be due to having not a lick of hair on her body.

Slowly Agnes came out of her shell thanks to her sweet Pei sister Jade. While they were together Jade taught Agnes about people and other dogs and how to play. Agnes loves to eat so her weight quickly returned and her hair slowly came back in. She is a stunning silver sable color. She is hysterically funny and goofy. She is still learning to trust people and other dogs. She is friendly once she is introduced and has had numerous fosters come and go to the house that she has befriended and loves.

She is a good girl but has a fixation with paper towel and kleenex and will chew it up if left available to her. She loves bananas and apples and yogurt.

Agnes is not a snuggler but will get up on the sofa with her person or one of her siblings and sit calmly. If you make a move to snuggle with her she will jump off. She is getting better about this but will immediately jump back up on the sofa. So we just sit together and she let's me pet her but not snuggle. She is ok with being picked up and loves to ride in the car.

We are hoping there is that special family who will let Agnes join their pack. She's a wonderful true Shar-Pei with lots of love to give.
