MISSY

This is Missy.....9 years old....and dropped at the shelter after her owner lost his job and home and realized she needed vet care that he no longer had the luxury of affording.  Missy is for sure lost and sad and so confused with her new surroundings....it is so sad......most dogs do not live in huge packs so this is playing a toll on her....she is gaining lots of weight....her coat is coming back in....and her lumps are not cancer.......she just needs a quiet peaceful home to finish living out her life.............she is fine with other dogs and supposedly lived with a cat.
If you would like to adopt or even foster Missy please contact Kelly at k9wrinkles@aol.com  Thank you.

HAZEL

Hello....I am a very dear old sweet lady by the name of Hazel.......though I am so old I cannot hear you call my name any longer.....I still know you are there.  I love to still investigate and go for walks and than I like to take a nap in a sunny spot or next to your feet.  I would never soil your house and know how to let myself in and out if you have a doggie door.  I love to go for car rides and sit like a perfect lady and even curl up in a ball while you run errands.  I realize I am in my golden years but I still have a huge heart to love you!
If you are getting in a place in your life that you too are slowing down I think we could help each other out....because boy I am thankful for the rescue folks getting me out of the shelter....but I am just too old to be putting up with a bunch of young dogs...they make me crazy...play play play....they need to keep still!!!!  I tell them so but they do not care.................

RAISIN

Raisin has been doing very well with her training program at her new foster home and we now think she is much more adoptable.
She gets along OK with other dogs, but would do best with just one other, probably a male, a little older than she is.
She has been going on long walks for her exercise every day, and this REALLY helps her a lot to be calmer.
Her new family would need to take her for long walks everyday.
She also has been responding very well to Clicker training, which really helps to distract, and to re-focus her on more positive things when she see's another dog while out walking, actually, she responds negatively to people as well as other dogs when she is out on a walk, It just seems to be fear related on her part, but with clicker training, and time, she is getting much better.
Again, her new family would need to commit to keeping up with more/ongoing training with Raisin.
She will definitely take a while to adapt to a new family, but she is a great dog, and we think will be worth all the effort!Hi!  My name is Raisin.  It seems as though my life started out in the wrong direction the day I was bought from my breeder.  Actually it was pretty sad as my new owner loved me but I was a wish of his before he was going to pass away.  He did love me....but had no strength to teach me anything. I am a one person human friendly dog but think like a wild dog as I had no guidance to teach me to be a pet.  The rescue group here has been working with me for the past 3 months but I am a tough cookie to crack.  I am only 26 pounds and they say I need a home with one person that is up to a lot physical activity at the least a very long walk EVERY day.  I must have many toys as it is a comfort for me to have something in my mouth.  I should probably live in a home without any other animals or if it is a dog one that will put up with my antics of nipping them when they run by me.....I am actually very intelligent and loving, I can live in a home with 2 people but I seem to hurt the other persons feelings as I always let my master know when they get up by barking really loud so they are not caught off guard.  See....I am a little crazy!!!  I do not know why I do those things...I just do.
They say there is some hope for me since I am on the younger side and have already done much better than the day I walked thru their doors....so if you are up for a good challenge I am the girl for you.  My looks are very deceiving....my picture might be the cutest thing you have ever seen but that is the only thing that is cute about me!
My foster parents only have time for serious inquiries so if you would like a response back from them you must first fill out an online application at www.sharpeirescue.com and they will gladly get in touch with you.
