LILLY

Lilly is truly the happiest little shar pei ever!  She loves to greet everybody with hugs and kisses.....she has so much affection to share it just warms your heart.  She LOVES kids and dogs and just everything....she only has happy thoughts in her head!  The bad news is Lilly's eyes did not grow big enough to fill up the sockets so she will never have side vision she can see and will be getting another extensive eye surgery done soon to help that out even more.  The other bad news is she has demodex which is a non-contagious skin mite that will take months of treatment to get her coat back to shiny new.  Lilly is just a year old and finally getting the concept of potty training.  She also needs some good obedience training like how to walk on a leash....as Lilly was just thrown in the back yard in a small cat crate when one of the kids became allergic to her so during her time that she should be learning the basics of being a pet she just sat on her own.  Lilly is only 28 pounds and we think when she does not look like an elephant will be a fawn horsecoat.

CASEY

How ya doin'?  My name is Casey!  So, my owner made up lies about me and told animal control that I was skinny because I was in renal failure and that I escape all the time.  Well the fine folks here actually feed me twice a day and guess what I am becoming a fatty....then they took me to the vet and took some blood and guess what....I have a clean bill of health!  And a 3rd guess what.....I have never even tried to escape here but why should I when it is comfy warm and all the food I need is here!  I am not fond of the crate and love to be my person's shadow when home.  I have lots of manners like not having to sleep on the bed ride good in the car good with my baths....hate my nails being cut.  I am friendly with other dogs would have to test with kids and cats.  I think I am about 3 years old and would make the best buddy ever!  Please fill out an online application so I can go home!

ZENA

Zena is a tiny, darling little old lady. She’s about 8 years old and completely blind, but gets around just fine thank you! She just bumps into walls and furniture with her nose and turns to go around. She figured out the doggie door and water bowl location within a few hours of being in her foster home. She’s quite sharp. She is about 25 lbs, black brushcoat. She’s fine with other dogs who aren’t aggressive as she does bump into them and they have to be ok with it! These pics aren’t the best as her head was shaved from some bites she got bumping into a grumpy German Sheppard, but when her hair grows back on her face, she looks like a little bear cub.  Haven’t tested her with cats but suspect she’ll be ok. She doesn’t really mind other creatures around her and isn’t outwardly aggressive. She loves to sleep near her person and make sure she knows where you are, but she’s also independent and enjoys sunbathing and just hanging out. She’s very comfortable with herself and can be taken just about anywhere. If you are interested in Zena, please fill out an application online at www.sharpeirescue.com
