DAISEY

Hi! I'm Daisey and "You Can't Keep a Good Dog Down" is my theme song! I was rescued from a kill shelter only to be attacked a week later by a pretty vicious pup who was hanging out in the street with no leash. My wounds are healing very nicely and I should be back to normal soon.   I was rescued from animal control only to be attacked a week later by a vicious dog who was loose on the streets while on a walk with my foster mom.  My wounds are healing nicely and I should be back to normal soon.
Being an older dog of @ seven, I am rather lazy but I love to go outside for walks (my foster mom says the exercise is good for both of us).  I am working on crate training but I promise I am house trained and I won’t chew on anything I’m not supposed to.  I get along great with human strangers and eagerly welcome their pets and ear rubs.  I do get along ok with others dogs if introduced properly but I do love to growl and put on a show for them just to be sure they know I am in charge.

GRETCHEN

Gretchen should be spending her days as the pampered princess having given 7 years of devotion to her family.  Sadly, Gretchen was seized from her owner by animal control due to neglect.  Thanks to the good people with the animal control shelter, Gretchen had the large benign growth removed from her ear that had been left to grow almost the size of a tennis ball.  She was spayed, brought current on her vaccinations and tested negative for heartworms.  She was horribly thin but has a great appetite and is putting on weight daily.  Gretchen is the sweetest Shar-Pei and is great with all people, dogs and children.  She loves to play and would fit in most any household.  Gretchen is a princess just waiting for her castle and a family who will shower her with all the love she deserves.

CHEDDAR

If you have ever owned and loved an alpha horsecoat female Shar-Pei, you will LOVE this girl.  She will MELT your heart. She fits the mold for an alpha girl, so she would do best in a single dog home. She is VERY intelligent, and very obedient-- to those she respects.  She is easily one of the cleanest dogs at our NASPR facility.  She often just has to look at other dogs to "correct" them. Her eyes sparkle with excitement when she sees a person she knows but to the person that is inexperienced with the breed her excitement would be missed. She is regal and calm, but her eyes say so much. Her strong personality welcomes guidelines and structure. She walks well on a lead, uses a doggie door, and is potty trained. She's the perfect dog for the Shar-Pei experienced or someone with experience with any strong willed breed.  She's absolutely wonderful, and would be a great, loyal friend!
