Seizure of Dogs from Wichita Falls TEXAS

To see those of us that are ready for adoption

NASPR was called to assist Animal Control officers in Texas when they seized over 50 dogs from the owner of a so-called rescue sanctuary.   The owner began taking in unwanted and homeless dogs, primarily Shar-Pei & Shar-Pei mixes, after the death of his own Shar-Pei.  Somewhere along the way, he was unable to see the suffering he had created.  The Shar-Pei are now safe, vetted and loved by NASPR volunteers.  In spite of the conditions they were living in and the circumstances that led them there, they are extremely loving and gentle dogs.  They were not only starved for nutrition but starved for affection as well.  Many are in need of eye surgery and extensive antibiotic therapy for infection as well as wound treatment and general wellness care.  Providing for these Shar-Pei and others in our care can be overwhelming physically, emotionally and financially.  Remembering them as they were when we arrived (as seen in the photos on this page) and seeing them daily as they heal both physically and emotionally helps us to go on.  If you are unable to adopt, please consider volunteering, fostering and/or financially sponsoring one of our rescue Shar-Pei to assist us in providing the care they need.   Please check the links often as we will be listing the individual dogs as they are ready along with the many other wonderful rescue dogs we have available for adoption.  For additional information on any of the dogs available for adoption in the Southwest Region (Texas/Louisiana/Oklahoma) contact Debby
