 GYPSY

Gypsy is a confused girl. She came to NASPR heartworm positive, but has been treated for that, and is now healthy and ready for adoption. She's confused because she has obviously been a loved pet to someone. She must be wondering why she's living in rescue. This @ 2-3 yr old girl is very loving and well behaved. She is housebroken, and never has accidents. She walks well on a lead, and can sit for treats. Other dogs do not bother her. She looks to people for guidance. She would much rather be out with other dogs and people than to be in her run, but she will obey any command and go right into her run when asked to. Gypsy is tall for a Shar-Pei, but doesn't use her size to bully other dogs. She has the cutest curly tail, and her large ears give her such personality. Those ears just turn from side to side, waiting to hear what you want her to do next. If you need an easy going, well-behaved, well-mannered girl to add to your family, Gypsy is the girl for you!

MURRAY

Meet Murray.  He was wandering the streets alone and hungry when he decided to stop in the yard of some Good Samaritans.  Little did he know that his life had just taken a turn for the better because this couple loves animals, does some volunteer work for rescue and knew to contact NASPR for help.  Murray was in quite sad shape, having almost no hair, a staph infection, itchy skin, suffering from entropion, fly bitten bleeding ears, and having seemingly very limited hearing and vision.  In addition, he appeared to be an older gentleman.  However, this guy could not have a better disposition.  Murray got to spend a week at the vet where he was neutered, vaccinated, had his eyes done (entropion surgery) and received some medication for his itchy, infected skin courtesy of NASPR.  The vet confirmed our estimation that he is approximately 8-9 years old and surprised us with the news that our Murray is heartworm negative!  Don't think for one minute that he is too old-this guy has tons of spunk.  Weighing approximately 50 pounds, he is a handsome devil too with those white spots on his cheeks.  Murray likes to play with stuffies and chase you but his favorite thing to do is to show you he loves you by turning two small circles when you come home from work each day.  He is content to stay by himself and play by himself but he is very dog friendly.  Murray likes Shar-Pei, Basset Hounds, Mutts, but his best buddy is the Doberman next door.  He has great house manners and loves car rides.  Murray even sits on command but adds some charm and spunk by giving you a high five at the same time.  He is so easy going that nothing really seems to bother him.  He seems content that he is being cared for and has food to eat.  If you adopt Murray he will show his appreciation by being your constant companion, making you laugh and loving you as much as you love him.

SANDY

Sandy is an @ 2 yr old horsecoat female.  Sandy is an active dog and will need a family who is willing to work with her on her play behavior.  Sandy would do best in a household with older children and no other pets.  Sandy will sit and stay when asked.  Sandy is working on her manners and trying to be a good girl so she can get the right forever home.  If you have a active family and enjoy including your pets then Sandy would fit right in.  Sandy is eager to please and ready to go to a new home
