MIRANDA

My name is Miranda. They say I got my name when my foster mom was listening to that gorgeous and feisty singer Miranda Lambert and was greeted with my very strong vocals and heartfelt exuberant performance when she arrived home. Personally, I like any gal who writes about a crazy ex-girlfriend so I learned my name quickly and am doing my best to live up to it. I'm a Shar-Pei mix about 7-8 weeks old. I was taken away from my mom and littermates at a very young age @ 4 weeks but my foster family have done their best to teach me how to interact with others. Did you know humans can bite? They bite with their paws instead of teeth. Geez....what's that about! I've now earned the privilege to run and play with all the other dogs (young, old and blind) as long as my foster mom and dad are around to let me know when I'm getting a little too fired up from all the interaction. We are unsure about the other side of my family tree but we suspect there is some Lab or maybe even a small terrier type like Jack Russell back there somewhere. Does this photo make my feet look big? They really are quite small and fit nicely with my slender legs. It's hard to know how big I will get but I'm small boned and will probably not get very big. A few things coming from that mystery side of my family tree that are somewhat un-Pei like....I've been pulling myself up the side of a 4 foot exercise pen since I was about 5 weeks old. I don't actually climb it, I put my feet on the first bar, pull my body up, then rest my feet and pull myself up to the next one. This exercise is really working for me and I've got some amazing strength packaged in this tiny body. I have yet to come over the top but I have been known to hang there and practice my vocals. I also like to scurry up my foster Dad's legs, up his body and stand on the back of the couch until he can catch me. Did I mention I am also very fast! Let's face it, I'm a handful but I'm learning more each day. It's been great fun here but honestly, I'd like to find my forever home soon so I can get them trained. I tend to think I call the shots but I can't seem to get that through to my foster family and they keep teaching me otherwise. I am very smart and am already becoming a pro at some basic commands so I need a family that will continue my training and take me for puppy obedience classes when I get a little older. I'm very intelligent and active so I will need to have lots of positive training to keep me busy. I carry a lot of the Shar-Pei personality traits but like my namesake I don't fit the traditional mold. My perfect forever family would be one that prefers a more unique and eclectic personality so please spread the word to all your dog loving friends that I'm interviewing for the perfect forever family. Who could resist a face like this with a spitfire personality to go with it!

GEOFFREY

Hello there, my name as Geoffrey and as you can see I am one gorgeous flowered Shar-Pei. I am just as sweet and loving as I look. I had a bit of a rough start, but I am ready for my new life now. I am lead and crate trained. I enjoy children of all ages and get along with other dogs both big and small. I am very curious about cats, so I think I stay around dogs. I am approximately 35 pounds and each one is a hug or a nudge for you. I love to be loved on and I will always return the hugs. There is a saying about flowers being forever. Well, I promise you that I will be yours forever when you give me that chance.
