IRIS
Beautiful and delicate, Iris is just
waiting to bloom. She didn’t have a chance to bloom before coming to NASPR.
She carries the scar around her neck where her chain or collar had grown too
tight, growing into her skin. Iris also has excessive skin and fatty tissue
below where the chain or collar was grown into her neck and would not allow the
her growing skin to move over the neck and head as it should. The chain or
collar must have been there a very long time before she was freed. Iris is
approximately 3 yrs old and has never known a loving family as a loving family
would have never allowed this to happen to such a gentle dog. Iris was
extremely frightened when our volunteer picked her up from animal control but
she allowed him to pick her up and carry her out and sat quietly in the car on
her ride to the vet. She has been very accepting of whatever we have asked of
her and looks at you with the most soulful, gentle eyes as if to say thank you
for your gentle touch. Can you please help us show her what a loving home can
be? She is ready and waiting for you.
SNUGGLES
There
is nothing better than snuggling with a Shar Pei and Snuggles is no
exception to the rule. This 2-3 yrs. old male is looking for that quiet
home where he can lounge in the sun when the weather permits, lay next to
your feet while you relax or snuggle on the bed with you when you allow him
to. He crates beautifully, has wonderful house manners and can be trusted
in the house when not crated.
You would never know that Snuggles has permanent damage to his vision due to
untreated entropion prior to coming to NASPR. He manages to use his other
senses to offset his limited sense of sight.
Snuggles is fully vetted, current on shots, neutered and is just waiting to
snuggle with you.

About the luckiest thing that ever happened in this handsome boys life was the day that his guardian angel was contacted about him. Her love of the shar-pei breed immediately committed her to aiding this boy in finding vet care and a safe haven. Once he was safely boarded with her vet she contacted NASPR and enlisted our help in securing him a loving forever home.
Tien Shie, as they named him, is now current on vaccinations, has been neutered, is currently undergoing treatment for heartworm and weighs 46 lbs. He is @ 3 yrs old and a beautiful fawn horse coat.
Although, due to medical treatment he has not had the opportunity to be a part of a foster family yet, he has displayed nothing but perfect social skills during his time boarded at the veterinary clinics. He is outgoing and eager to please.
Tien Shie is hoping that his streak of good luck continues and that you will fall in love with him and be waiting to taken him home as soon as his treatment is finish. If so please complete the application for adoption. This guy will be ready to go very soon.
VEGAS
Vegas came to NASPR
care from animal control after she was removed from her owners house for
neglect. She was starved, heartworm positive, and pregnant. After giving birth
to a litter of beautiful pups, being spayed, receiving all treatment that she
needed, Vegas has blossomed and became the sweet and beautiful dog that she is
now. She is still a little shy and unsure at first, but she learned to trust
people and give them love and affection once she knows them
better.
